There are lots of DIY keyboards that use Kailh choc switches. They're not as low as Cherry MX ULP, but I bet they feel better to type on.

Samsung DeX is pretty good but I think they're phasing it out. I've used it while on holidays connected via HDMI to the TV in the hotel, with a bluetooth keyboard/mouse and it performed admirably.

You're not overreacting in my opinion. If it looks like 1930s Germany and quacks like 1930s Germany, get as far away from that duck as you can.

What a huge surprise. Every one of these studies shows the same thing. Same as every study of open-plan offices shows that they suck. The psychopaths in charge do not care.

It seems to me like Hollywood horror films have gotten more visually gory. I prefer old style stuff like Omen. Where the dread is more part of it than just straight goriness. I expect war films will go the same way.

It's about controlling expenses after having a large income. With a small income, everything goes on necessities. FIRE isn't possible.

old.reddit.com is still ok. Don't tell anyone or they'll take it away. I have an auto-redirect userscript set up in Firefox so I never see reddit.com.

My plan for the future is a trailbike, a tent and a shotgun. But with regard to a car, I don't know. I'll just do the best I can when the time comes. I'm hopeful there'll be options available or where I can cut antennas

Why do they need drones? They could just make the car accelerate as fast as it goes, when the GPS says it's coming up to a T-junction or something.
