Google Bookmarks seem private by default, unlike Delicious and Pinboard; seems like you have to put bookmarks into "lists" to make them public. I've just started poking around again, and the first thing that stands out to me is that the URL

I love local-style apps like this so so much, so I'm like "OOOHHHHH time to try this out," but I don't quite know what to do with it yet. I have a bunch of geotagged photos of interesting buildings in SF and NYC on Flickr already, and I'd l

The first thing I wanted to do was search by region - my go-to site is http://www.santabarbarahikes.com/ - but it looks like local low-key hikes like those aren't included.

To my eyes, this journalistic storytelling style is "feature" writing -- different from "news" style, but US newspapers have both. You'll see a form of it in NYT Magazine profile articles ( http://www.nytimes.com/pages/magazine/ ).

See the article at http://articles.sfgate.com/2007-06-25/bay-area/17249021_1_wo... - They don't conduct electricity like aluminum or wet fiberglass ladders do....Aluminum or fiberglass, when it gets too hot, it gets soft; it will actually

There's an odd mismatch when a person says: "I'm tired of people emphasizing youth, because actual experience is more important. And I'm only x years old!" - it undermines what you're saying. It'd also help to link to specific examples of p
