I've met a lot of "lifers" too. I worked at UMass Boston for a few years and it's depressing. It's like working with indentured servants.

If you use vim, try the fugitive plugin[1]. You can do :Gdiff to see side-by-side diff between what is staged and the working tree. It provides some context, but if you need more you can unfold it. [1] https://github.com/tpope/vim-fugitive

I repeated this about a thousand times and he seems to have fixed it ;). Also, he seems to have reverted the count on his unkudos page. Not the actions I would have expected from someone who thought nothing of it.

I think that is common in Presbyterian churches. Same for me, though we had traditional hymns and piano accompianment. Not sure what is fundamentalist Presbyterian as I only attended 1 church, but things were laid back.

Relatively no one drinks espresso in the US, so they charge more. The most common drinks are drip, latte, or cappuccino which can range from 2.5-6.0 dollars.

Can anyone expand on layer comps? Is this something that our designer can use to show different states? E.g. A list with items / a list without items (rather than 2 layer groups)

Maybe I'm mistaken, but my takeaway is that any hacker with the skills necessary to find such an exploit would not bother. It's a lot of money for most of us, but my impression is that these competitions don't target most of us.

It's likely that your ssh key only authenticates your account anyway. If that were the case, you could change your key to a different account, make a change, and then change it back and no one would be the wiser (though any logs demonstrati

Disagree for anyone with more than one key. The problem with verifying all your keys at once is that I'm not going to find all my devices (I don't practice falconry). It would have been better if you could delay answering for some keys. I'm

It makes plenty of sense. It's relative to one's financial situation, but for most people a $125,000 bonus is a very different event.

But, people do precisely that. I was working with parsing log files and converting each row to a Mongoid object took forever. It was in a tight loop and did nothing but persist it. So, I had to drop into the Ruby Mongo driver, avoiding the

I would normally leave this as is, but adding the C-m at the end is non-trivial so I wanted to give a more proper example. You're right, it should be: !tmux send-keys -t right 'rspec %' C-m Notice the C-m is not quoted. Definitely

Worse, with a 2 party system you can't necessarily vote for your preferred candidate. In most cases, elections are so skewed toward Democrat/Republican candidates and often are so close between the two that you have no short-term effect unl

I recommend anyone wishing to use something like this first try to implement it yourself first. It's remarkable how easy it is to script tmux and vim. If you have a split screen it's as simple as a vim mapping that executes !tmux send-keys

If you do dev work on a remote server this is usually not an option unless you're willing to open half a dozen ssh connections, but then none can communicate with each other easily.. I'm sure iterm2 does a fantastic job doing window/tab man

I am a tmux/vim user and I find this a constant problem. Split tmux panes don't allow your vim windows to communicate with each other (you could always fallback to using the system buffer, though that is often insufficient). Yet, split vim
