I was so into Python for 10 years, was enjoyable to work in. But have deleted 100k+ lines this year already moving them to faster languages in a post AI codebot world. Mostly moving to go these days.

But are they wrong? Should a warehouse have guys carrying around boxes on their back or have a forklift? How many people really want to carry boxes for a job for minimum wage? Every tool for thousands of years has eliminated jobs. I don’t t

What exactly are you doing with this that you can’t generate $1.50 of value per million tokens?

There’s different kinds of Walmart ecommerce shopping. Marketplace is from a third party seller. Often the same sellers as selling on Amazon. It may even ship from an Amazon warehouse.

Well and uber cut the driver pay in half and doubled the price. They didn’t really find any efficiencies, robo drivers don’t exist yet. Also why I hardly touch them anymore.

So many more efficiencies possible at scale though. I cannot keep a local model 98% utilized 24/7, at least not with my current workload. A big cloud can. I can’t power my servers with DC, I have this AC to DV conversion nonsense. The

Idk, offer most people 300-500k and they will go eh, when can I start? You don’t know how many engineers in the world would take that.

The $200 plan is easily providing $2000 of AI usage. So with this change your bill goes from $200 to $200 + $2000 -$200 = $2000. That’s a 10x jump. Stuff like gas town is dead in the water

In the world of AI written code, Python just doesn’t make sense. Converted about 100k lines in the last few months to golang and the performance is life changing. Curious if we will see global Python adoption fall by 75% or more in the next

Two things I’d think 1) the first MW is cheaper to generate than the 100th. Newer plants. Cheaper fuels. More efficient. You run your good stuff always, for peak it’s on demand. 2) the cost of the old plants are already paid for, if adding

Yah it’s a weird thing to one prompt. I’m porting some code (Python to go in my case), and I’m pretty specific about doing it sessions by session. Port one file, hit a new wall, break into another session to fix it, and return to my origina

You use humans to edit AI code? When you level up you are just using AI to write, AI to review, AI to edit, AI to test. Not a lot of steps left for meat bags.

In a two hour race that’s still 800 bonus calories, that’s something. The race to tolerate lots of carbs is usually something you think of in 8 hour Ironmans. The good part is you can do most of it on the bike, which is much easier to eat a

But why put charges at burger shacks? For most people most of the time charge while you sleep. On trips charge along the highway. Every single store doesn’t need chargers, it’s a waste.
