I think this is the problem format=flowed was created to solve. But it doesn’t seem to help. I wonder why it doesn’t have wider implementation

Can you find a nearby hiring manager—someone who hires regularly—to give you an interview and tell you why you wouldn’t be hired? I’d be happy to do this for acquaintances near me (Cambridge, Mass.)

Parasites change the time constant of the exponential system, sometimes allowing other controllers to function without underdamping and violent oscillation.

The 48s show you four rows of stack at a time, and can use that to show a single long expression. That can be a huge difference—though of course, unlike the time when these were built, we have Octave and similar right there .

Depends in part on why you want it there. For many answers, you get a CDN. Even if you have entirely dynamic and incompressible content, the bandwidth-delay product's role in limiting TCP bandwidth means two connections with half the d

I wonder where you are! In Boston, and at mathy CS conferences, 15" MacBooks are routine. Someone always has a Surface, and 10-50% are thinkpads or XPS with Linux.

Sensors are expensive. Counters are cheap. Put in ink by weight. Assume pages at 60th percentile use of each color. Set counter. At zero, whine for more ink.

It's very big of you to be willing to pay overtime for new staff that way. I invest in my staffs' intellectual equity too, but usually ask them to do their reading and learning on the clock.

We know markets are bad at pricing in catastrophic very-low-probability events. That's why the lottery stays in business. How do you price in dicamba use? It shouldn't quite be banned, but—silence isn't enough.

Two is the number of electrons in He, and the number of slots in the lowest orbital. Two appears in nature. Circles appear in the shape of that same s orbital, though, so I don't see how to avoid pi.

It's surprising to me that so few recognize the touch bar for its real purpose: trusted path I/O. Imagine a password manager interacting with the secure element using the touch bar. Or a U2F device. Or a document signing applet.

Well, good, right? This is the same outcome most of us wanted between Swartz and JSTOR, and perhaps with Malamud and PACER. No technical control can be in the right place, but we can hope for a common understanding (maybe eventually law?)

Not quite. That gets you better mixing, but maybe Blake2 has bias in some bits, or bias in some output bits given bias in some input bits. Xor is nice in that xor of a biased bit and an unbiased bit is an unbiased bit.
