True that Xcode needs yet another rebuild from scratch. If they forked it and abandoned the old project file and went with a swift first approach, could work. However adding support for Claude is still a huge win. Could lead the way to maki

One could argue that the intention of the law is to make it possible to collect revenue from non-EU companies. Since the EU doesn't have any sizable internet companies. Not counting Prosus group as they are a holding company, Spotify i

I used a circular slide rule when I first started flight training. It was used in flight planing to calculate ground speed and a few other things. You can still buy one. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E6B

Claude code (as shown in the repo) can read the files on disk. Isn’t that already exfiltration? In order to read the file, it has to go to Anthropic. I don’t personally have a problem with that but it’s not secret if it leaves your machine.

Are you saying that because there is much more stuff to buy, like an internet connection, that the quality of life is lower? I mean sure after you factor out all the inexpensive / free entertainment, unlimited access to information, in

This is Far-UVC (typically 222 nm). Regular UVC can cause eye damage.

I looked it up and Far-UVC (typically 222 nm) seems safe-ish. But how do you confirm it's not outputting 254 nm or other wavelengths in the UVA/B range? Seems likely to happen with sloppy production of sources. You really have to

Honestly this doesn't look better. You still have a large touch screen, but now you also have > 20 buttons on the steering wheel. Capacitive (no touch feedback) ones at that.

The big problem with farming spiders for silk is that you can’t have a dense colony of them. This could a solution to that. Breeding these to make super strong silk to harvest would be really cool. Although you have to have a way of separat

I've come to a similar conclusion. One example is how much easier it is to put an interface on top of sqlite. I've been burned badly with the hidden details of ORM s. ORMs are the sirens call of getting rid of all that boiler plat

Boosting NAD has a been the focus of taking NMN supplements. Seems like NMN is a dud for boosting NAD. I wonder if P7C3-A20 can be used instead?

So many disclaimers about bias. I wonder how far back you have to go before the bias isn’t an issue. Not because it unbiased, but because we don’t recognize or care about the biases present.

Come to think of it, why is this in HN and why am I commenting on it? The outrage trap gets me when I let my guard down. It's even come for me here on HN.

Style over substance seems to be the order of the day. It would be refreshing to see people debate of substantive issues, ones that make a difference. It's a symptom of the broader crises in competence. Our leaders are chosen because t

Category error. You want 100% accuracy for an impossible problem. This is a famously unsolved conjecture. The only way to get the answer is to fully calculate it. The task was to make a guess and see how well it could do. 99.7 is surprising
