> A well armed society is a polite society. That slogan has always been bullshit. Plenty of road rage and similar impulsive shootings happen in the most heavily armed states. A well armed society has more guns is really the only takeaway

It is just another “gotcha”. Oh you wanted to do your visit the week before vacation rather than when you get back? Sorry, that was only 179 days between visits, so your coverage is denied.

My hygienist recommended the Crest 3D White toothpaste to help with my staining. I’ve been using it for about nine months now . I didn’t solve things completely but my teeth definitely look better and my last visit was at least ten minutes

If you are so against posting on social platforms, why are you posting here? You don’t need to post anything.

Different subreddits will have different reactions. Also, moderation and up/down voting will swing the tone over time. One of you may have seen the post early and the other later and you could both be right in your impressions.

Why should I need your consent in public? Especially, if it’s incidental. If I follow you around all day, I see a problem. If you’re in the background of a video or photo I took of something else, I can’t see an issue.

There was little of lasting value on Twitter. It was great for breaking news or timely discussion but I’ve rarely had the need to go back and reread old tweets. Reddit, at least in the right subs, is often a StackExchange with a much broade

Ah, see, the cash that was stolen? That was your cash. We, the bank, only hold onto your cash for safekeeping. Your balance has been reduced appropriately.

Aye, there's the rub. No politician wants to be portrayed as "soft on crime". Until the problem becomes too large for the average person to ignore, the law isn't going to change. A smart police force stays just below tha

That would still be an improvement over today where one never needs to be charged with a crime at all and only the stack of cash has a right to defend itself in court.

Except Apple is paying the arbitrator, so they are inclined to give them the benefit of any doubt. Not saying you can't win in arb, but it's an uphill battle.

If this is really the reason for losing the account, I can't understand why Apple wouldn't just blacklist the credit card and leave the account owner to deal with their bank. Closing their account seems excessive. Especially after

Another advantage of Thunderbird is that I already have a downloaded copy of my past emails. If I ever get locked out, I can change my MX records and start over elsewhere with minimal disruption or data loss.

I've always assumed slow airport wi-fi is that way because they have one 50mb connection being shared by thousands of users. I always connect through a VPN yet everything still runs slow. I don't think the airport is throttling sp

Delta always shows the actual price on the search page. When you check out, they break down the costs by fare, taxes, fees etc. But if you look at the numbers, the flight that was listed on the search page as $250 gets broken down into a $1

The concert venue I went to last weekend is cards only now. There seems to be a bifurcation in the market where some vendors take cards grudgingly and others want nothing to do with cash.
