Spotify is atrocious. Feel bad for all you younger folks having to deal with repetitive auto tune crap injected into any station. Can't say much positive about Pandora or Tidal or.. Miss old Slacker days and prior.

Great to hear your success. I've been in a similar price range and recently updated my pricing from $10.99 to $23.99 a month. While MRR has jumped, be careful with churn, trial conversion rate, and even chargebacks. Where people love

My biz is decent about not double-booking on top of existing tentative mts for some reason, so that isn't a problem. Too lazy to see what attendance score I'm skewing by not accepting mtgs.

Other day my boss asked for me to ensure I'm accepting or declining meetings. As a PM with 20+ mtgs a week I default attend without accepting as constant rescheduling and re-accepting is not productive. I've done this for 2 yrs wi

What seems to be vague... They didn't contract Covid, but we're they exposed to it in a lab environment, or just set off on their way to be evaluated x months later?

You forgot that it is satisfying. I moved to a spiral wipe notebook and find I can sketch and write notes much faster before dragging yet another box, look for text label, etc. Which usually results in losing the fleeting thought.

Ability to lie in the grass of a park with your dog by your side for no reason at all other than to enjoy the fall weather and rustling of the leaves. Ability to grind and realize you can do anything. Ability to let go of things that hold y

Is it me or is this piece terribly written. Even after first 10 paragraphs very little context of what I was reading. Odd for a NYT article.

To build on an idea is infinitly more complex. The supposed need for cloud architectures to save money is a fairy tale to drive the need for kubernetes/etc. They make sense for large scale deployments but for my 20k subscribers I lon

It's a false promise for sure. Overly fragile and can bring down a system with little warning. Have 20 instances and if it fails 9 out of 10 times it's from LE.

I dare say every move Apple makes is to surreptitiously lock in users and create a protected lock-in. They have mastered the approach, perhaps accidentally, by slowly rolling the features over time across their device portfolio to the exten

Profits have been stagnant on iOS and Android for some time. Too much churn and competition. For $10.99 a month the webapp is growing 10% a month with much less CPA and less churn and no 30% cut.

As an app developer, I'm moving to straight web apps. All the hoops, the review system, and ranking prejudice makes it an easy decision even outside of the 30% rake.

The infrastructure cost is 100000x than that for the storage and network of one file. Downloadable is nominal outside of store. I had millions of downloads back in 2005 timeframe and we never even looked at file hosting cost.

True. On top of all that Watson / etc are supposedly more accurate for several cancers already. Given IBM, probably still have a few decades before they can effectively get to market. ;)

It's become a horrible profession in US. Radiologists used to have bit of cachet now are required to review 300+ MRIs/x-rays a Day. No wonder they need insurance to cover the error rate.

Agree. It is decentralized. You need to be able to maintain your identity as a currency whereby you get compensated for access to it vs. others who get to monitize your persona. Google, LinkedIn, FB all do this. If you grant specific righ

Exactly what I've said. Top 10 schools have tons of untapped brand equity they can unleash for 30% of on prem education. Get a premier remote education for $20k/yr or get state school with risk of Covid for $27k+....

You are not making an argument here. Regardless of what you are trying to say, proven test results and would not skew percentages to have a larger black workforce for technical jobs.

I so miss the deep veins of content in blogs and forums. So much niche, rich knowledge lost. Not have to resort and gag on highly monetized social forums for a fraction of depth or worse Medium.
