Thanks for digging in, as I mentioned earlier in this thread/another [lost track] , I haven't messed with this in at least two LTS releases. Good to see it's aware at install time; this wasn't always the case. How abo

Some server stuff is hit too! I learned about this pattern through the BGP daemon 'frr' . No idea how many server packages are/may be captured by Snap, but it's worth being aware of. Imagine my surprise. Remove it and

Easier said than done, surprise: apt, who we know and love, is redirected to Snap for an ever-increasing number of packages. "Don't use Snap" , you say? I'll do you one better! Skip Ubuntu. 'Just' use anything

Fair point. I treat LLMs like the forgetful junior we often hear about. The things I don't care to do, they (both local and hosted/'frontier') can. Boilerplate, very-well-described edits, some research/report, e

I get perfectly acceptable results from a Strix Halo PC the size of a shoebox, man. An APU that uses ~150w, has 0 discrete GPUs, and a bill of $0/m. What's more, it doesn't go down every week, limit use, or change the terms a

Fair, I am/was confused by the hosting model and presentation. This is a nice User-preparation/consideration, I guess. I still maintain a backup filesystem unaware of duplication at the block level is a mistake. I completely overl

As is always the case, short vs long term... but I think I'd put effort into migrating to a filesystem that is aware of duplication instead of trying to recreate one with links [while retaining duplicates, just fewer] . Effectiveness

I hate to say it, but the Outlook approach would be an improvement: cute little ~~advertisements~~ calls to action in your inbox. The full-display-on-focus thing certainly got my interest.
