I volunteered at a food for homeless place and batch cooked. It was fun. Also I weirdly enjoy cooking a kilo of rice more than 100g, knowing future me can just grab some rice later in the week no hassles.

I like this. My view is I aint doing it if it aint a system. A system: change diet to always have at least 3 veg per meal. Do that until you die. A non-system: skip a meal and just eat soup for 30 days and try to drop 10kg. Not diet advice

Yes indeed. I feel like probably both are a similar price so its not a financial decision (unless you just dont have 5k) as much as do you need intense control (buy the server) or do you prefer less hassle (have them host it).

I like the rewrite suggestion. It sounds primitive but I imagine there is more of a sense of ownership by doing so and you can spot errors or things you dont understand and want to know more about.
