I've found T shaped people are good for early startups, where you can have one person wearing multiple hats. If you are large enough for corporate training events, chasing T shaped people probably isn't that important.

I believe spicy foods kill certain types of gut parasites. So at some point in our evolutionary history some weirdo who liked a bit of spice was born, burned the parasites out of their gut, and then with their increased health and no calori

We have voluntarily gone back to the office one day a week now, because we find collaboration easier when tech gets out the way and you can just talk to someone directly. Surprisingly, the team has all loved it and we are discussing adding

You are operating under the rather naive assumption that the people and resources used in fusion research are fungible with the people and resources used in other things. When you have a bunch of people who know how to build nuclear bombs s

The joke used to be fusion was always 30 years away. Then the joke was it was always 20 years away. Now the joke is it's always 10 years away. People paying attention over this time have noticed it getting closer as we improve our capa

Stable diffusion has been used to create artwork for shoestring budget projects. I've used it to generate prototype images before hiring an artist to get precisely what we want and a designer friend of mine uses it as a starting point

I think most people's perception of what makes the most sense, involves someone else dealing with as much of the hassle as possible. Which is why online enabled devices are popular and why companies cater for them. If they could sell l

With problem solving jobs, like software engineering, you end up with equal or greater productivity. There is a low-level of constant burnout that occurs with 5 day weeks, but you don't notice the difference between feeling normal and

Middle management is not there for you. They are there to provide the same type of support to your managers, that your mangers provide to you. Us lower managers are only human.

What happens is that an otherwise productive engineer has to step up and perform the role, but without any recognition of the extra responsibilities or any reduction in expectations of their individual contributions. So then they find a job
