Ghostery is the one which reports your browsing history to advertisers (by default/opt-out), and also shows advertisements of its own. Not recommended over uBO. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghostery#Criticism

Shipping information for Pine64 products is generally available at https://www.pine64.org/shipping/ Shipping schedules for Pinebook Pro and Pinephone do fluctuate since they are produced and shipped in batches.

Posted on Medium... Brave (or at least the idea of it) seems to satisfy the author's requirements around ads. Then again, so does an ad blocker.

Plug for Void, the community recently added support[0] for the Pinebook Pro, so it's been my daily driver for a few months now. [0] https://github.com/void-linux/void-mklive/issues/105

I use FastHub[0] (also the fork called FastHub-Libre[1]) and don't intend to switch away anytime soon. Is Microsoft's new app for GitHub free software, or even open-source software? If not, this is laughably ironic. [0] https:&#x

This is pretty insane. Ostensibly this is even rarer than other Sony oddities such as as the Net Yaroze[0] or the Japanese PSX[1]. I wonder if it truly is the last Nintendo/Sony "PlayStation" in existence. [0] https:/&#

UT2004 has a Linux port, I believe developed by Icculus[0] but it's pretty long in the tooth. Requires libc5, an old version of SDL, and OSS for sound. Regardless, it'll still run on modern systems if you acquire old libc binaries

I've got nginx running and acting as a reverse proxy[0]. I've found it's an easy way to manage TLS certificates, and using a memorable subdomain is a bonus for my users as well. The Jellyfin server is configured so no user ti

I speak mainly in regards to their closed-source, proprietary nature. I used Plex briefly some years ago, but became dissatisfied with nag screens, paywalls, and the inability to conduct user authentication on my own terms. Usage of a Plex

I've been using Jellyfin for about six months and have been overjoyed with it. Amazing alternative to the nasty proprietary apps like Plex and Emby. Previously, I was pointing Kodi at an SFTP server which worked fine, similar to the gu

Interesting article, shame it happens to be on a site where undismissable hovering banners on the top and bottom of the screen gobble up 30% of real estate.
