   I haven't used docker-compose. I'd been holding back with docker until all the stuff like service discovery, scaling, secrets, sane local dev and deployment experiences were available. So far K8s seems to tick all those boxes.

   I'd been thinking about doing something like this with AWS API Gateway, Lambda and DynamoDB. Chalice ( https://github.com/awslabs/chalice ) should make it relatively simple to make and deploy...

   Apparently one trick is to delay paying royalties for years by saying "we still haven't received all the revenue on this feature from all the companies we licenced it to in year x".
