Note this is Verizon Wireless, the cell service company - not Verizon Fios, the home ISP company. They are both under Verizon Communications, but as far as I can tell this "test" only affected wireless customers.

I use the Tor browser for just Facebook. Stymies IP tracking, and I expect it to do more of the right things to deal with fingerprinting too. Plus it's super slow, encouraging me to not spend too much time on Facebook...

They already did that, and web "developers" did not do the work. The period in which Google incentivized faster page loads was the period of some of the worst page bloat growth.

There are exceptions now to the length rule - URLs don't count, @names don't count. I would guess that means they've ripped that code all out.

The current version of the Puppet documentation all appears to be for the enterprise product. Our team just evaluated the three and easily found Puppet to have the worst documentation for starting out with the free edition.

Fair- matches my experiences (seems to me it only flags a drive at the point where it's physically clicking or otherwise very dead) but they specifically asked for a SMART monitoring tool.

Eugenics is applying your idea of genetic fitness to other people. Reproductive treatments are applying your idea of genetic fitness to yourself. Seems clear to me why the former is "bad" and the latter is not.

Government employees are actually more free in this case- the first amendment means they can't be fired for their non-official speech where it would be fine for a company to fire them.
