Interfacing a brain sounds quite complicated. Instead, the mechanical box could just be a human body since we have over 1000s of years interfacing that with various vehicle controls. We could probably harvest these fully functional units in

I’ve seen no evidence that Fuchsia is bringing much more than 90s era embedded OS design. Just because it’s not Linux doesn’t mean it’s new. Not that this is a bad thing, but someone please correct me if there is something fundamentally rec

Euler lived in the 1700s. Not sure how that would have affected your training unless you’re much older than average. Cauchy and Taylor both formalized many concepts, again in the 18th and 19th century. What are you thinking is ad box?

So the article is probably correct that trade has been a bigger issue than automation. Well let’s assume that’s true, to be charitable to the mentally challenged Slate authors. So what happens after you put the screws to trade? That certain

Needing flash is an annoyance, I wouldn’t call it “extremely difficult” (especially on HN) though. Luckily Citi still offers the service. It also requires flash. However the feature is worth the inconvenience. I’ll run a small windows vm fo

Most credit card companies it would be no problem at all. It shouldn’t be necessary though, a quick call to the merchant should be all that is necessary for them to void it.

Yep for 3 days before Linux! And then most of the later betas were Windows only. It wasn’t the final full featured release of Quake III though. And as stated in Carmacks .plan it was because these gaming communities were so tiny so I’m not

I think you’re reaching a bit. I’m aware of this. Most of all because what this article doesn’t mention is that q3test was also initially released for Linux before Windows and you better believe that was a huge deal on slashdot at the time.

No that’s not right. The implementation is not changing. The prototype is changing to break code that was poorly formed in the first place. If you had cast to the correct type in your code as you always should have, this change shouldn’t br

It doesn’t require much memory to shuffle, essentially just an integer permutation generator and possibly an index of block pointers. You could store the latter in the NV storage. This assumes no storable “playlist” at all. If you have pla

That doesn’t mean multiple long running processes will share memory though unless they actually create a shared mapping, which I think the gp is referring to. In addition to tremendous memory waste this also kills cache performance.
