The Economist has a good book on this. From memory, I think it's called "Introduction to Financial Markets". But, beyond that, I'd question what specifically you feel you need to know in the vast field of economics that

I'm no expert in this, but hardware companies like ARM will spend money to get compilers like C's and Rust's to work on their chips. Maybe have a snoop around these types of firms?

I don't think it's just a FAANG thing. There are FAANG employees outside of the US also. I think it's simply that many US-based people are just blinkered to the world beyond. It's a cultural thing. For decades the US has

If you are running k8s all day long, then sure, but if you run a slim serverless stack in AWS with dynamodb, lambda, SNS/SQS, eventbridge etc, you can stand up a substantially complex solution for next to nothing. Source: I am doing it

Have you considered a friend's and family round? Or opening up a round to you user base as a kind of crowd funding round. The startup I'm at did both of these to good effect. You'll also notice VCs perk up once you've to

If you're sticking with systems programming, Rust is the way to go IMHO. If you're doing server-side app programming, especially, in k8s, then golang. Web apps, you would do well with TypeScript. Data & AI: Python. Just my 0.0
