Quite. And many people still seem to confuse this. The way to exploit Conway's law is not to do anything _technical_ but rather to do something _organisational_. The "Reverse Conway Manoeuvre" is the term, IIRC, for this. Rat

This sounds fishy. I'm a CTO in Europe (UK) at at firm with a similar valuation. When I signed up not only did I get options at the outset, but I _bought_ in on the pre-seed round with the founders very happy for me to do so. As others

I used to get stressed out all the time until I realised that being in a state of stress actually had a _negative_ impact on my productivity. Since then, I just told myself to "never allow yourself to be stressed" and it worked. I

You learn more by _doing_ than just by reading books about a subject. Especially an applied one like programming. Just start building stuff, googling, getting on forums, etc...

what about Fedora workstation for the old-lady use case? I'm about to give my 12 year old non-technical daughter a linux laptop, and wondering on distro. I'm thinking Fedora but open to be convinced otherwise?

This. People naively assume it's the nicotine that is harmful in tobacco. It's really not much more harmful than caffeine. The problem with smoking is the tar. Vapour has zero tar.

Scantily clad women smelling underwear might be a bit saucy, but it doesn't sound like porno to me.

I second this. A good SRE is like rocking horse shit - extremely hard to find. I've had blaggers who can't do basic things on a Linux shell and live their lives in VS Code typing in yaml.

Yeah. And I also edit my VB in nano. Jokes aside. This is a thoughtful and interesting article. I was wavering on going down the Rust path for my SaaS start-up. Glad I didn't in the end for exactly the same kind of reasons.

This. I've been all over Coc since it showed up. It's pretty good. So much so that I've not yet even bothered to look at the native support that came later.
