Go have a look at Gitlab's "Review Apps" -- this provides a mechanism that spins up branch-specific environments, and destroys them when the branch merges -- which sounds like what you are after. This is not so much about Doc

I thought about it quite a bit and in the end, decided it was more of PITA than a benefit. Went with standard REST in the end, and I am still glad we took this decision. I wouldn't use / introduce it until it became something that

Personal machines (workstations or servers) are very different to those you'd use in industry. I'll only comment on personal machines. For home workstations, as an ex Ubuntu user, I like Manjaro (and the whole Arch ecosystem) A L

You may find lots of ide tools, type hinting systems and so on. But these are a bit like crutches IMHO. You don't need them to make maintainable code. If your functions are small, pure, well-tested then you are good. Small functions ar

AWS Serverless -- all day long... Lambda, DynamoDB, API G/W, SNS/SQS, EventBridge, S3, Cloudfront. Reasons: no servers, no VPCs, no k8s yaml, great tooling, easy to deploy (serverless framework, terraform, etc), easy to secure.

How does the outcome of a couple of court cases in one jurisdiction, in one country, break the entire, global internet? This just sounds like clickbait.

What about just liberal use of ‘assert‘ throughout the codebase. These are good to use in production code (not just in tests). And give you a means of defensively coding and forcing errors if, for example column names are missing?

You seem to be hung up on typing here. But, with care, you can make any code solid without necessarily relying on types, which, in Python's case, AFAIK, is a build-time safety net, rather than run-time protection. I think a lot of this

Japan has been doing it like this for years. And it's much better. Pay people properly, and encourage them to be the best they can be (even for jobs that are so-called "unskilled") and then everyone's a winner.

The point is not to just say: "Hey man, I did my job and built what you wanted. It's on you if you asked me to build the wrong shit". While this technically might be 100% correct, in terms of roles and responsibilities in

My take: There is no "into" without the concept of "space". The universe is space (and time). Thus it's not expanding into anything as there is no space outside of the universe. QED.
