The blade doesn't have to stop. Some saws have the entire blade assembly lower. If you walk the table saws at AWFS you'll see all types of different safety systems.

I've triggered one by touching the blade too soon after it has stopped. There is a short delay between when the blade stops and when the brake is disabled. I've also had one trigger on a heavy miter through some gnarled 8/4 w

If they are made by cutting a ring shape out of wood, the grain is too weak for long term wear. I more common method for wooden rings is to cut a long thin rip at 1/16th”. Soak it water for 30 minutes. Wrap it around something finger s

How straight are its cuts? I've used traditional large 10'x5' woodworking CNCs and found them very challenging if not using them daily.

I haven't work with Cheryl for probably 15 years now, but at the time her family was very important to her and I don't imagine that has changed. There are more than just monetary costs for relocating.

I've worked on large FAANG systems that used ML models to identify all sort of things from hair in pictures to fraud and account takeovers. Tasks are then queue up for human review. AI wasn't a buzzword at the time so we didn'

That isn't a counterpoint, it is exactly what OP is saying–there is already a way to give away a book for free if they author/copyright holder wants to without the IA deciding what should be free.

My experience working at Apple on both Music and Maps: anything that I had worked on that was reported on was usually wildly inaccurate. Mainstream news, bloggers, HN comments... so much assumption and usually way off.
