The bottom up and top down don’t seem to match. Where is all the new and improved software output we’d expect to see?

Neat! Thank you. That’s really the killer feature for this imo. In a year when I consolidated a bunch of accounts, I’ve found essentially no program regardless of off or online that’s able to build a global view. It’s a pretty classic data

It’s seems bizarre and alien to me as a relatively new parent that you don’t seem to consider that a big change but instead an impediment to your travel plans.

The Fed only controls the overnight rate, the shortest term rate. If it loses its reputation for independence we may well see higher long term rates even if they cut the overnight rate to zero. That would be quite bad for real estate. The n

You object, but is there any practical difference between: Sam Altman can’t say anything meaningful or interesting on almost all subjects. and Sam Altman will refuse to say anything meaningful or interesting on almost all subjects?

These institutions are not about teaching students. That’s a fundraising exercise for their actual purpose. And even the actual purpose is under heavy stress from cancerous administrative growth.

There’s two sides to that coin. Obesity has known long term harms. So what we are looking for in a deal breaker can’t be a small but statistically significant increase in some cancer or other. We’d need something as bad as smoking to outwei

It’s possible to violate all sorts of social norms. Societies that celebrate people that do so are on the far opposite end of the spectrum from high trust ones. They are rather unpleasant.

It’s not a matter of acceptance. We can’t accept the cost of anything consistently growing at a rate faster than GDP. That’s just math, not ethics or political choice theory or anything else. Health care cost growth is going to slow one way

An acquisition is a special case (for the company being acquired) and the scrutiny is somewhat higher. At least in Delaware. I have no idea what corporate law is like in Texas.
