I was asking a similar question a few years ago and found Ivan Savov’s “No Bullshit Guide to Math & Physics” to be really helpful.

I’ve been using lists for the last few years and I keep waiting for the day when Twitter deploys a change that ruins them. No ads, tweets in reverse chronological order, it’s the only Twitter experience that’s palatable for me.

Anecdotal, but in my industry (sports front office), we’ve seen a heavy shift from Rails to Python over the last few years. I don’t think it’s much to do with perceived shortcomings with Ruby/Rails, but rather alignment with what the a

Would be interested in learning more about the property you’re selling … the wife & I have been looking around Northern Illinois (she’s from Rockford) for a small farm. My email is in my bio.

I can’t remember if it was a former feature of Google search or a Chrome extension, but that capability used to be available in Chrome. w3schools was on that list, among other republishers and whatnot. Loved it. Maybe someone else can augme

I know a lot of “get started with Go” blog posts, books, etc recommend going through the standard library code to see conventions in practice. Go’s stdlib is relatively easy to read, especially if the consumer has some previous experience w

One can only be bombarded with Medium popups and other modern web annoyances for so long… I typically gain more from the comments than the articles themselves, but YMMV.

In an old code base I worked in, someone misspelled “params” as “parms.” Always made me want a sandwich.

I wonder how prevalent those storage lockers are on a typical route … the last few places that I’ve lived have had Amazon or Luxer lockers, ranging from a couple dozen to maybe 100+ individual spaces. The 400/day seems a little more fe

Appreciate the thoroughness of your comment (if you expand further in blog posts, I’ll read em). How did you settle on your standard project structure and what does it look like?

I’ve found the overall price to be quite reasonable. We have about 10TB stored across maybe 40M objects - the biggest cost is for PUTs, but even those requests + storage keeps the bill around $150US. At the enterprise level, that’s a neglig
