If you haven't watched the roombas spreading dog turds around the house on youtube I highly recommend it. I wonder what the equivalent of that will be for the outdoors? The safety implications worry me too. I'm surprised they don&

I know this is not a popular opinion but I feel that atom never had the right priorities for a project. A text editor’s primary goal is to be fast and responsive. Atom uses a rendering layer that makes no sense in the context of a text edit

I’m confused, you’re saying that they’re potentially gay because of environment? Hasn’t there been examples of gay animals and people for thousands of years?

In short, look for changes in the world and see how they change once well held beliefs about said world. There was a lecture I watched years ago that specified the different areas that change that can allow startups to do well. I remember T

After reading the article I’m not so sure. It suggests that instead of doing a course at university we should be teaching programming in school (great!) and also do more boot camp style education for your local bank’s JS stack. That’s all w

I think it’s useful any place where space is constrained. - on the terminal (clickable short URL that doesn’t wrap is great!) - QR codes (shorter URL will encode to less squares which means easier to scan)

The problem with centralised URL shorteners is that the site can shut down for any reason. It doesn’t make money, it isn’t important to the maintainer, there’s a db failure etc. With a decentralised system it’s a lot more resilient to failu
