Great thing to do but it doesn't seem to teach much of the basics. I'm not a developer but learning the core concepts of Programming at the moment and I can see someone doing the same thing for HTML may not understand anything about tags if

Great stuff! Excited about this because of the team and the vision to fix email which seems to have stopped after Gmail launched. All of the other services are plugins ontop of Gmail which as a user I find incredibly annoying as it isn't th

I definitely disagree with auto submitting but don't believe that Hacker News should be more locked down. There is always a lot of complaints about content but there is an inherent system allowing posters to know what the mass wants rather

Interested what the HN community thinks of this one. I believe getting the major players onto a platform allows for mass adoption but once the platform is open for other content producers you can bring the major entities onto the same level

I'd agree this is terrible but also say I've seen Silicon Valley startups look at a hot web property in Asia or Europe and clone it, raise a lot of money and take credit for it a number of times.

I've rang PayPal before and been treated like an idiot. I got a notification to call and was told that the manager in charge of that issue won't be back for a few days so call back them. A far cry from the 24/7 support a few companies are s

Oh I see. Think how much more they can achieve with the freedom and time they have, of course to each of these points there are disadvantages. But for those that are truly self directed and succeeded on their own accord this won't matter. I

Hey no age bracket. It's not for teenagers only, one of the founders is in his mid twenties and should have a diverse age range. We want to start a meetup that doesn't identify with some of the 'old business' trends that are a part of many

Hope to see you there. Should be good. We've got quite a few people coming from across England. That's one reason why we decided every three months. So we can make it a great event and give people time to plan.

I've achieved this in school if that counts. GetDealy which runs flash sales for designers and geeks has 35,000+ users and 2.3 million credits earned, which is our rewards system. http://getdealy.com

I agree, Berlin or London are great startup hubs to look at. I'm in London and there's a great community and lots of people hiring but I hear so many good things about Berlin. Quite a few Silicon Valley startups are opening up offices in Lo

Didn't really work for London. I live about an hour away but am fine with going to London when there's startup events. The 5 events shown in London are all either joke pages, local bar quizes or people's private events (Birthday Parties).

All of the incubators in the UK are mediocre from what I've seen, some in fact ask the applicants to repay the investment yet still take a big chunk of equity. The only real exception I've seen is Seedcamp, which is great. Some others take
