I think this is not equivalent because in D, this imports all symbols in the package `std` while in Zig, you just get a "struct" called `std`. I think the equivalent D is: import std=std;

Walter is showing the equivalent function declaration... you will eventually create a generic type as you say, but in the Zig example, that was a function, not a struct.

You are confusing the purpose of the openid scope. That scope is used to "enable" OIDC in an otherwise pure-OAuth server. By itself, the openid scope never gives you access to anything itself, so it should not impact the Access To

Thanks! That indeed does the equivalent as the Zig code... but feels a bit pointless to do that in D, I think? Could've done this and be as safe, but perhaps it loses the point of the article: enum U { A, B, C } void handle(

I was trying to implement this trick in D using basic enum, but couldn't find a solution that works at compile-time, like in Zig. Could you show how to do that?

It’s a basic property of statistics. You need an extremely varied population to need a sample of 25%, and almost no human population is that varied in practice. Humans are actually very uniform in fact.

The USA got to the top quickly, and might fall just as quickly. China is taking a wide lead already on many areas. The USA is still definitely controlling world order, but the system that put them at the top is already being challenged by t

I really don't get the point of doing that. There's indeed a limit on how much you can "carry over" in most companies, but not in the one I work. I've been there for over 10 years. I will eventually take a very long

Amazing that you managed to get set for life so early in life, not least with a J2EE product (though that was definitely the hot thing back then). I am not quite set myself, but trying to :).

Yes sugar cane is much cheaper and efficient. But you need very warm climate to grow it. Brazil has that and uses sugar cane for the most part. The USA does not so it uses what grows well in its interior , which is corn.

People in web development tend to allow dependencies to auto-update. It’s kind of a necessary evil in that the alternative is to do it only manually and then falling behind on security vulnerabilities updates and potentially getting hacked.
