There are systemic and cultural biases against women in math and in technical fields. Women are driven out of these fields by people in them. If you had a magic wand, women wouldn't be driven out, so there would be more women in profes

If you want an actual introduction to Information Theory, I'd recommend "An Introduction to Information Theory: Symbols, Signals and Noise". It deals with complicated information theory topics similar to Kolmogorov Complexity

They still haven't done the most critical thing: add tests. This is for two reasons: the code has no tests now, and when you refactor, tests are important to make sure you're not subtly introducing errors.

Internet infrastructure actually does require a somewhat large number of people and it is quite fragile. I never would have though a fiber cut (which seems to happen almost weekly) would have such a large impact, but it does. I figured BGP

Okay, about blogs without comments: My blog doesn't have a comment section. It's because I sometimes post controversial opinions and I don't want the garbage that often pollutes comment sections ending up permanently attached
