Whilst I may be young and relatively healthy (mild asthma) I'm still sticking to delivery. Near to me there are few grocery stores and if I wanted to go to a larger store I would typically take transit. I've tried to minimise my i

Save-On-Foods has another - different issue. They normally let you modify orders, which is great. However I've noticed that modifying when there are no additional available time slots for your post code does not work. Your time slot st

This is still a solved problem in many European cities. Train stations are often in the city centre, or on the edge of it. They almost always connect with either metro or bus networks, typically with frequent services.

It's interesting to consider what would have happened had the US invested the money it spent on the interstate system on intercity rail instead.

SkyTrain in Vancouver, BC for example is fully automated. It works well unless there are issues with track or sensors, at which point it has to be driven manually.

I think the idea is that with a good idea of where you're starting, either by GPS or some other waypoints, you can avoid the need for GPS through dead reckoning and updating based on other known features. At least, that's my guess

Really a very impressive demo, I could certainly be tricked into thinking it was native.

I feel that Electron is bad not because you're running the same UI everywhere but rather because you're running an entire web browser.

With HW generation given the same HDL and tools you should be able to get reproducible builds if you provide the same seed at the very least.

This is pretty awesome. Every time I end up using a Mac (normally someone else's) I always struggle with the multitasking experience. This looks a lot more familiar.

In my experience Flutter does make getting a simple mobile app running quickly easy. It's not a drag and drop experience but the programming model is such that it doesn't take much code to get something interesting.

That's not a terrible solution. I've just been looking at possibly forwarding SSH over WebSocket - then I can put that behind CloudFlare. Latency would however suffer.

I've done similar. You firewall your home network to all IP's other than Cloudflare's. You can use a Cloudflare provided certificate for HTTPS - they will MITM and use a trusted cert for outward connections. You can update Cl

Another wish would be able to export (email) to my kindle. Using a normal device is kind of a pain but I can let my kindle keep the screen on for a long time and it's readable even at a bad angle.

Definitely - I currently do this by having a notebook where I write down conversions, having worked them out on a calculator. Being able to do this automatically would rock.

I quite like this - I have one suggestion though. Please convert between US measurements and metric. I much prefer metric and for this reason tend to stick to UK/European websites - but occasionally there will be something on a US webs

Ive looked - a lot - to try and find a reasonable alternative. I haven't found any devices that are as inexpensive and convenient as the ESP chips. Microchip have some relatively inexpensive WiFi modules that need to be used with anoth

The article points out that Scotland actually falls into the spirit-drinking countries - typically whisky. Unsurprisingly this is almost entirely related to the climate of the countries and the crops that could traditionally be grown.

Reproducibile builds would mean that anyone could download the code for a specific release and build a binary that is identical to the one you provide - byte for byte. Is that possible?

I certainly understand, and alloc for example is great progress. I'll be very happy when we can provide all of std (or I suppose sys isn't it?) by external crates.

My biggest issue with Apple is that they force you to use Safari. The total inability to run an alternative browser is a no go for me.
