I love how there were people in the upper floor just walking by without even looking. "Oh, the robots are dancing again." In between the advances in "holographic" displays (not quite as sci-fi as we would want, but they

Regarding the Pi-Hole issues... a few days ago, I decided to set up firewall rules to block all outgoing DNS and DNS-over-HTTPS traffic, except one coming from my Raspberry Pi. I discovered two things: My nVidia Shield TV was desperately tr

Same experience, 37 hours in. I have a friend who"s 64 hours into the game (he just finished his Ph.D. presentation, so it's a deserved distraction) and he's enjoying it just as much. TBH, even the pretty prevalent bugs are a

That's gonna be a problem for me... I use coated strings because my sweat is on the acidic side, to the point steel or nickel strings last barely a month or two before rusting completely. Maybe I need to get better at cleaning my strin

Could be Intel's graphics drivers. I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't properly optimized on Linux. Out of curiosity, what distro did you try?

Funnily enough, I think the newer games are much tamer than the horrific gore and human mutilation that's constantly shown in the originals. I'm kind of glad they didn't go that far, because it was probably tolerable only bec

I switched back from Pop!_OS about a month ago, after nearly a year of using it exclusively. My previous laptop broke, so I got a new one. Of course I immediately created a Pop! partition and started installing stuff. I tried Doom Eternal..

So you think paintball is more violent than a movie like Saw, because they involve actively targeting another player? How about a game of tag?

I would say shooters have become less violent and bloody over time, TBH. Gotta keep those games in the Teen rating!

That might be the case in your country... but in Latin America, for example, WhatsApp is HUGE. People don't text each other, they use WhatsApp. Mobile carriers provide plans with discounted traffic for WhatsApp, or sometimes even free.

Isn't RECAP piracy in some way? Granted, I don't know if these documents are protected by any copyright law, or if they're provided to users under some limited license, that would let the government sue.
