Yeah, it's hard - all nice dictionary words are obviously already taken, and sometimes odd spelling seems out of place. That's why I started thinking of portmanteau. For me that ended up in "welshare", but other nice options emerge as well.

Agreed. Good code is one that conforms to KISS. And "100 classes" are definitely not short and simple.

I very much agree that defining those theories and algorithms is not for everyone. But they are already discovered, so if I need them, I'll (yes) google them and analyze if they are suitable. Of course, I'll need to know what I'm looking fo

I applied to 7 companies, got offers from 6 and chose 1 :) The thing is, I already had good programming experience and knowledge, so it wasn't that hard.

I don't see why I can't do compilers if I have to. I didn't take the "compilers" course in my remote study, because I wasn't interested. But when you reach a certain level of computing knowledge, you can learn anything quickly. But anyway,

Agreed. But I'll just add one option that worked for me. I dropped out after the first semester. Then I found a job as a software engineer. In 4 years I'm a valuable senior java developer that everyone is trying to hire. Have I graduated? Y

"People" problems can be minimized by careful interviewing. Talking to the person, letting him chat with the team, and possibly solve a small problem with them can give you some insights. Having a rigid process is often an overkill for smal

I have one odd guess about why Google can get a decent "platform". They hire "hackers". Their recruitment process involves 99% computer science and almost none software engineering. So the people there, being amazing at the most complex com

I agree it is undesirable to force applications like that. There are some apps that monitor running processes and kill the undesired ones, but it will still be troublesome. But this does not change the openness of the platform - it is HTC t
