I think that staying together for the kids is essential for the very early age, but if someone goes it must be the dad. My mum left when I was 1 and a half and that is obviously horrifically painful At a certain age though the parents shoul

I don’t think it was edgy at the end. It left it extremely morally ambiguous on behalf of the protagonist rather than making him too saintly. It was left unclear how he felt about the ending

> If anyone ever referred to me as a number, I would spit at them. What an unbelievably degrading thing to do. Let me get this straight. Someone degrades you so your response is to degrade yourself further by spitting like an animal?

Kinda. The differential operator in quantum Ito calculus can be applied to mathematical objects that the normal differentials aren’t properly defined on, such as stochastic variables.

I had to study quantum stochastic calculus for my PhD. Really crazy because you get totally different results for the same mathematical expression compared to normal calculus

I’ve never encountered anyone turning it off. I avoid socialising with people who think it’s rude to use capitalisation.

> for everything aside from essays, articles, papers, long emails, and some percentage of multi-paragraph site comment That’s already the only stuff worth reading and always has been. No loss then

I refuse to use it because it offloads human cognition into an external prosthetic. Computers and writing are already playing with fire. I’m being unironic because I’m already preempting the “writing is obviously a pure good” comments

Quantisation is a pretty big difference: it turns the observables into completely different mathematical objects. Also the Hamiltonian itself only has the same form as in classical physics if at most quadratic in the canonical variables
