Some would, but most people would continue to use a free service. It would have to seriously be causing the average user a pain to have them switch. More likely would be another free service that could be the gmail of years past and they

Microsoft can't build the kind of developer community that Google and Apple have. The interface is smooth, and the Zune Pass is great, but there has to be more.

I would think you don't need a great idea to have a great company, but you need an idea that is worth something.

I used it for a couple of days, then switched back to TextMate. I am going to watch the PeepCode Vim series ( http://peepcode.com/products/smash-into-vim-i ) and I think that will give me some momentum.

It is interesting because we put a lot of ourselves in the code we write and the ideas pursued. So when something fails, It can be a process to get over it. Although trying and failing is better than never taking a risk.
