I think they're suggesting just styling "Error:" in red and then using normal text for the actual message. npm does something like that: http://i.imgur.com/7oBLP.png

Snapshot 61 added maxhorz and maxvert to fullscreen options by default. You have to set fuoptions yourself if you want something different. See my other comment for what I do.

You might want to look at http://openkeyval.org if you weren't aware of it. Exact same idea. (HN discussion: http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1846088 )

It's obvious that a static HTML page will render faster than one dynamically generated from JSON data. But now the site looks massively more annoying to maintain since any change in how the data is presented will need to be made in 30+ plac

I haven't done complete browser testing, but I know you can use a PNG and simply change the extension to .ico and it will still work in some browsers. Edit: I tested on a domain that previously didn't have a favicon. Putting a PNG named fav

That is true. Here a similar solution for iOS: a[href*=dir\=up] {-webkit-tap-highlight-color: green;} a[href*=dir\=down] {-webkit-tap-highlight-color: red;} Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/Lswpg.png

It has to be more than just a solution: it has to be a solution that requires close to zero coding from time-constrained PG. I think adding a hover effect to the arrow would provide the most benefit per second coding. The following line of

The homepage should show a screenshot of the results screen, because that's where (I assume) this service has value over just sending a mass text.

I'm not criticizing truncation. You need to do it on long names. I'm saying it looks like the designers of the GNOME UI are using truncation as a quick fix for a flawed design. Besides, truncation in OS X is much much smarter: http://i.img

I'm amazed by how dumb and severe the icon label truncation is. That screams to me that it was designed without testing it with real content. How can anyone see Network C…, Network P…, Network P… in the preference panel and not wonder if

The page looks and reads like blogspam, but I'm glad you posted it for this one observation: As a person who seldom, if ever, gives a ‘thumbs up’ when a virtual hug is what’s needed, I often wonder what’s missing from Facebook.
