Yeah, I just meant that S3 has partial downloads, so you can still seek. EFS/NFS makes a lot of sense I think when you have a lot of random/unpredictable access across large numbers of files. You could do the same thing with FUSE&

Couldn't you just download the portion of the one file you want from S3? Unless EFS is significantly faster... From a caching perspective, you wouldn't seem to gain much in lamda. You can cache in memory/tmpfs until your cont

Obviously it won't work offline if you haven't already installed the package (which seems like the general case?) I'm biased of course, and I understand why some people are turned off by an in browser solution. But I think it

I think the main thing Jed was going for, which is different from Pickle and most people aren't picking up on, is that the output is simply JavaScript. It doesn't output a storage format that must be turned back into live objects

The information may be available, but ultimately the work would have to be done by node, not npm, and it seems reasonable to not want to change such a fundamental node behavior, especially just to support a change in npm.

It's a REPL for Node.js. It has data visualization features, and it also manages npm packages for you, but those are just features. Another way to think of it is, a different (hopefully better) version of the thing you'd get if yo
