I do wonder how the electrical grid in Norway is going to hold up to the massive increase in demand that EV charging will cause.

True, when I was contracting I did attend less meetings although it always felt like too many and the pay was good (not so much now). But I always found it a little bit of a lie when the idea of a contractor coming in and working on a probl

It never feels like the contractor is an "expert" in a field, is any more efficient than another employee and is nothing more than another person that has been hired to do programming with less HR/employment overhead. So not

Isn't it also just as much about Python is having it's day, granted a day long in the waiting but many langs go through this (Ruby, PHP) and then it tapers off and the next language has it's day. Probably Go will be the next

I have seen this in Germany, people usually scavenge the rubbish at airports and stations for plastic bottles.

So I wonder how much of a backlash against plastic will bring about other issues like bacteria. Plastic has had a big advantage in ensure consumables and devices are clean but granted the cost has been high in the sense of pollution. Would

Isn't it usually game programmers who advise against GC because you can't predict when it will run and the performance impact it will have.

Is this a chance for ARM providers to move in and outcompete Intel, especially if they can provide similar tech but with security? Basically an ARMs race?

Yes, this is a reason I avoided wireless as well, but Samsung have a wireless charger with a fan in it which pumps the heat out. I've used it over a year and never felt my phone even being warm when charging. It's the EP-NG930

Keybase is very convenient, same features and is based on known standards and has arguably as good a UX as telegram. Why isn't that used more?

That's the same as saying that a car model is safe because there have not been any crashes yet with this make and model. No cars are safe because there are industry standards that a manufacturer is tested to ensure they are following.

Telegram is scary and questionable. Inventing your own encryption is never the answer and reeks of horrible understanding of security, at this stage there is no reason they should not adopt a standard of communication like Signal protocol.

The most ignorant thing I've heard someone say about comments before is how it's the worst thing you can do to code. The idea was that code should always be self explanatory. Let's just say I left soon after.

One part of UBI I still don't understand and have a hard time finding an answer for: If everyone gets a basic level of income no matter what, won't the base level just be pushed up higher? So instead of a flat costing for instance

Ubuntu ruined it when they included their advertising and marketing engine straight up in the unity interface. Debian is at least not trying to sell all your info.

This is why SQRL just needs to be completed and everyone should move to it.
