I think there is a real argument here that everyone will love to yell at you. Same thing happened with California. Its always a balance -- if the tax is too much people will leave, if they get the number just right in that its a nuisance

Yeah not really. It generates money for the city to run their programs without raising taxes on residents. Those properties aren't being purchased by anyone who can't already get a home. I think the revenue is probably overstate

Ive seen Battery + islanding sold as a deal sweetener with fed funding part of it. If you live in a grid stable place its kind of expensive for what it is… and no arbitrage wont make the money back in 99% of the places
