   Well, "yet beautiful and usable" is a matter of opinion. I find the 5 year old iOS UI boring and much less usable than the AOSP Android UI. And this could be related to the fact that the Android team is refining the UI with every iteration.

   I think the big question is if Google is actually serious in advertising and selling the device to customers. Google does not often run aggressive advertising campaigns, and so far they are not selling the device anywhere but in the US.

    same here. I found only one app that provided search (which I need), and that one had a poor UI. Chrome on the other hand works great. The only problem I have is that voting is not convenient.
