Title is a bit misleading. Looks like this patent actually expired quite a while ago, as it was filed in 1974 and granted in 1975. I think it would have expired 17 years from the date it issued, or Feb. 18, 1992.

It looks that way. It seems to be structured as a 24-month installment loan (financed by a third party), with an option at 12 months to trade it in, end the old loan, and start a new one.

Also, AT&T owns Cricket as a subsidiary. Same network (MVNO), much lower cost per month if you buy phones unsubsidized and unlocked. There are a lot of MVNOs like this. Usually, no phone subsidy is offered and you pay at the beginnin

That's not double jeopardy - double jeopardy is a criminal law concept, and we're talking about civil lawsuits. You can be sued for the same act by multiple people, though you can't be sued BY THE SAME PARTY for that same act

I like using dns2tcp, it's a lot easier to set up as it works on the transport layer (TCP), not the network layer (IP), and it seems a bit more reliable in my experience. http://blog.rootshell.be/2007/03/22&#x

In the US, anyway, liquidated damages clauses like this in a contract (licenses are contracts) are only enforced if they are a reasonable estimate of the damages expected for a breach when the actual damages would be hard to calculate. Pena

How exactly does this work? Is the NFL's only protection against Americans viewing for free the fact that American DNS servers give access to a different server, instead of actually checking the IP? If this were the case, why pay for a
