Sending events in unfocused window is quite nice I would say. The issue is the scroll speed and amount is inconsistent between applications. And now with some applications trying to implement smooth scrolling it's even worse.

I wish I could have the graphical stack and mouse handling of MS Windows in general. With the trackpad precision and battery life of Mac on laptop. The fact the mouse scroll wheel doesn't even work well on Linux is just shameful.

I tried correcting the origins of the first prototype of the Docker software on Wikipedia. The people I worked with at the time can confirm the story of course. But Wikipedia will not take our words as we are the literal primary sources. In

DMT trip sounds rather nice. The closest I ever was to death was a simple fall into darkness. No more fear. Peaceful. With a single regret: leaving the family around in pain.

It even makes the development of the product easier for the programmers. Maybe when they don't need to fight the flashing process they can focus on writing better code. One can still hope.

I have a fancy OLED TV, not connected to the internet. A powerful desktop running MS Windows 10. And a fancy sound system with Dolby Atmos. First MS Windows is the only way to get Netflix and similar to stream the 4k HDR Dolby Atmos stuff o

What's so sad is that usually bricking is a pure software bug. That overwrites whatever code boots the device far enough so thatnl it can update itself. If you have the hardware programmer you can most often update the flash directly.

Those screens are so good, I use our LG OLED TV as a computer screen more often than to watch movies. In fact I now feel uneasy working on standard 60hz 4k LCD monitors.

You need to learn about something before you talk publicly about it. I use rust on 8bits micro controllers with 128 bytes of RAM and enough flash to store about 1000 instructions. Enough to decode standard 433mhz radio remotes, learn them,

Took a while but this issue was fixed this year. Until then, you could compile a patched version of LLVM, or use an older nightly. And the code generation was quite broken indeed. Most importantly the saving of registers within interrupt ha

Rust forces you to think of memory ownership. In turn challenging you to design more carefully your data structure and their relationship. I think this extra effort is experienced differently by different people. But then comes the enlighte

PEX-AL-PEX is more expensive, but also convenient to work with as it stays in place like a gooseneck lamp. It is also an oxygen barrier, and as such useful for closed loop hydronic with prone to rust components (cast iron). I don't kno

I was primarily making a joke. But it is indeed a big pet peeve of mine. I do find it annoying that one country in the world likes to use it's own unit. And that of course they are not as nice to use as the units optimized for science.

But we are all a bit guilty of this I am sure. It is great to share such stories. Realize we are all falling into the same traps and too shameful to admit it. Then we can fix and improve the technology.
