I don't think I can honestly say I've seen a car UI done so well I'd forego CarPlay on the same vehicle. MAYBE in the rare case it has wireless CarPlay only, but can play music over USB from my phone. Maybe.

Hyped! Time to start boiling lakes! In the few minutes I had with it I didn’t notice any impressive differences beyond it complaining loudly that I can’t talk about excel cells with “yellow backgrounds”.

The good news is it’ll never go on sale! Whoohooo.

Interrupts are one of those aha moments that completely change how you view the problem space, and see so simple once you get it.

Next time He exploits the game in a different way - entertaining if you know a bit about the tooling. It’s great watching him bring out minor side effects that don’t normally matter - until you’re on a 1,000x science run.

Of course I meant ... East Asia ... it's not that I'm tired enough that I forgot what coast SF is on ...

It takes an awful lot of incentives to knock down a "usable" structure. I'd love to build higher-density right here, right on my lot, but unless I squeeze something in on the same lot, I'm out $150k just to start . $150

This kind of boils down to "I want to live and work with people like me" which is a common feeling, but sometimes veers dangerously.

At some point the idea of working for $AI in SF just to enrich landlords and have a lifestyle that (at least materialistically) is greatly outclassed by some rural cashier at Walmart (3 bedroom house, family, car) needs to be thought about.

If SF wants to be New York of the East, let them be so. Everyone else can move literally anywhere else in the country, which is big.

I mean in this case it would also have helped not to have $100k in cash from a bank robbery laying around.

Sure, but if it's buy now $6, or rent $4, upgrade to buy $3, they make a bit more the other way.

I wish more platforms would let you rent for $4, and then show you an "upgrade to buy for $3" or similar for a week afterwards.

It's really nice - and it's not really the cost ... it's the avoidance of the rugpull. I've spent WAY MORE on my hardware and setup in time, money, and DVDs than I ever would have for streaming services, but I know if it

The biggest issue is that to challenge them, you have to dox yourself, even if the DMCA claim is completely bogus and itself is contains bullshit information about nobody who actually exists (e.g, in a doxing war, the party that fires a

The optics and marketing is already fucked, the MBP goes to M5 Max, the Mini has the M4, the Studio has M2 or M3, the iMac apparently has two different kinds of M4s, it's all fucked.

Delivery times on many custom things was through the roof, likely we now know why. They don't even have the 512GB Mac Studio anymore, and it's uncertain if such a thing would exist in a theoretical M5 Ultra now. (If 128 GB of RA

I paid about $6k two days ago for a machine that's now above $8k. I think this is now technically the best investment I've ever made.

One of the amusing things from reading Wodehouse school stories - the kids were avoiding Latin by hiding Dickens inside their books. Today kids hide comics inside books to avoid Dickens; someday kids will hide something new inside books to
