Apple has my location at every moment of my life, from birth to natural death, and they can't switch the default card based on the store I'm in? Will wonders never cease.

For all I know there is something like that, but it'll be buried in settings, probably in accessibility, where nobody ever goes. Discoverability of options on the iPhone is fraught with danger and distrust, I learned about CarPlay widg

Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. My debit card from my credit union is easy to map to the account as they share digits, but other debit cards from other institutions are completely unrelated.

As we more and more mandate smartphones to live, we need to take accessibility into account. Watching "the olds" (which we are all fated to become someday unless something intervenes) fight technology is eye-opening; especially wh

Some banks are better than others - Apple is amusingly bad at it if you have the Apple Card and your wife has you shared on hers. Two white rectangles, both alike in dignity, in fair Cupertino, where we lay our scene.

Some banks have their debit and credit cards almost identical. You may have multiple cards from the same bank (personal, family, business). Different cash back from the same bank making you want to use one card over another.

The oldest theaters might still be the way they always were, but most have gone to offering direct ticketing (to cut Fandango and friends out) and they need something to offer you to make you buy ahead - being able to select the seat is t

Especially since you may have someone walk-up and willing to buy-in to the movie even though it started ten minutes ago, so I think I've answered my question above - they just show everything no matter what the sales look like.

You don't even have to pay for a projectionist anymore, so you might as well digitally project to an empty theater than risk missing out on a ticket sale. I wonder if they even bother turning the projector on if they sold no tickets? H

The problem is that if you take this too far, nobody knows what it costs to go to the movies, so everyone will just stick the "high cost" in their mind, and not go. This is why they always gravitate to "$5 before noon/4p

MST3K is definitive proof that "not all the old movies were good" - there were some stinkers, and they only picked out the ones that were "so bad they're good" - there's much worse. Most movies are decently b
