Don't look so smug! I know what you're thinking, but The Commission was merely a setback!

Bill Watterson is comfortable for life - even without merchandising he's easily a millionaire multiple times over.

Watterson and Larson (both who retired at or near the "top" of their game) could easily have gone on for a year or two more - or three, or five, or twenty. But they both knew that the font was running low, if not completely dry; l

Raymond's important and high up enough that he probably only needs the approval of three AIs and five managers to publish a blog - updating documentation likely needs twice that.

It’s the difference between setting up a system to encourage investment and hoping for a factory, or at least a large department store, and instead getting a DataCenter that employs 30 people total.

That’s the problem - it seems like a mind but it doesn’t operate like the ones we’re used to. Even a dog will learn from recent stimuli, these things don’t. The prompt just modifies.

The Gulag AIpeono is such a letdown compared to the original. At least they have the decency to not compare themselves to chattel slaves.

It would entirely be possible to limit the scope of things, by making sure the company that has your address (UPS or USPS, say) never has the other information. Each business would hand off a zero-knowledge identifier to you that you'd

The number of capital-heavy businesses that are wildly profitable “if you ignore capital expenses” is too many to list. Airlines, for example, which are so profitable they continually go bankrupt.

How is the result of training stored? How big is that? It seems reasonable to assume we’ll eventually plateau and all we’ll need is relatively infrequent training.
