Ok, there's a daily now as well

Hi. I haven't added a daily level to Unflip yet, but I created a Weekly level.

You said ASMR, I thought you meant the auditory phenomenon.

As the author said: "Our sense that something is weird is often accurate, but our stories about precisely what the weirdness represents are often way, way off." It might have been better to start off with the general impression yo

All the sound is purely from the vibration of your phone!

Good point. I definitely need to work on the progression.

So what is your solution, I'm curious. Regarding the number of solvable boards. It is actually possible to calculate the exact number. The solvable boards correspond to the image of the matrix of moves. It will be a vector (sub)space o

Yeah, it's my plan to implement daily levels, as well as weekly levels. I was thinking of making weekly levels be very big (like 12x12) where I don't know what the par is myself, and have it be a challenge to see who in the commun

That's pretty cool. It reminds me of writing peep-hole patterns for an optimizing compiler.

Interesting. It is very similar. It took me a while to get past the instruction screen (I needed to press space, then "E" for english, then press escape) Now I can't seem to figure out the controls for the actual game.

The way I thought of it was 0=white 1=black. I used the term XOR when posting on hacker news because I thought people here might have an intuition about the kind of patterns it could form in 2D

I like your puzzle game. Yeah, it did take me a bit to understand initially. I wonder, do you generate the daily levels automatically?

Ah, yes, the single-pixel level.

wait, did you actually do the whole 120 levels in one sitting? Wow. How long did it take you?

If anyone wants an extra challenge: think, how would you write a solver for this?

Thanks! And yeah, I've gotten the suggestion to ramp up difficulty faster from a few people. Although interestingly some other people in the comments here say they liked how the progression goes. And that's an interesting little g

That makes sense. I think what I'm gonna try is hiding it until the level is solved at least once.

My rational is that perhaps it's being biased towards continuing doing what it's doing, or biased towards telling that it has done a good job and not being self-critical.

Could this be improved if the evaluation was done by an independent sub-agent?

I'm thinking things like: do you know what's the latency and throughput of your system, and how it is affected by different conditions? Based on this, people who work on real-time systems (including video games) would be the close

Asking here because it seems related: I'm trying to use cursor to work on a webapp. It gets frustrating because vanilla Cursor is "coding blind" and can't actually see the result of what it is doing, and whether or not i

> "That's not my problem" is something humans have been dealing with since before they mastered the art of sharpening a stick. Yes, and that's why civilizations have kept rising and falling throughout history.

Then a very important first question is how do we (humans) discern facts in such cases?

I totally agree with the "attention stealing". What you can do is create a hotkey to toggle autocomplete on and off.
