I read a good article on why the charges against Assange are absurd: http://rixstep.com/1/20101001,01.shtml And a more recent follow up: http://rixstep.com/1/20101202,01.shtml

http://www.elenco.com/snapcircuits.html This is what you need. There's various 100-in-one or 500-in-one kits, you get a big bag of parts some instructions and you can start making all kinds of cool things. Also great if you have kids.

I didn't mean to imply that this is an easy problem to solve. My point is that there are very smart people on HN willing to figure this out for the rest of us.

It would take maybe 3 days for someone to come up with an algorithm, implement it and send it to pg ready-for-use. All he has to do is ask.

If this is Hacker News, why is there no similar-story clustering algorithm (among other things)?

I am willing to relocate almost anywhere in the EU (elsewhere could also be possible). Right now I'm enjoying a very warm winter in south east Europe. Also willing to travel for face-to-face meetings, I just need to grab my backpack.

Giving up 30% of your company seems like a lot to me but I'm sure there will be plenty of takers. The maximum funding you can get in return is fairly high (at least compared to YC): 91,000 euros - single founder 141,000 euros - two founders

Is that why sometimes I open a webpage and it gets stuck loading with the status bar displaying "Looking up example.com..."? If I reload the page it then loads immediately. I've been thinking that it has something to do with the cache, but

One interesting open-source solution is Areca: http://www.areca-backup.org/ Multi-platform, encrypts, compresses, incremental/differential backups to FTP, network drives, local drives, usb sticks and it has a GUI.

I posted a comment not too long ago, implying that Google modifies results when it suits them and I received a lot of downvotes. The comment was snarky, but I've talked to a lot of people that really buy into the "Don't be evil" mantra and
