I'm surprised this is still being worked on I was under the impression that Google abandoned this. Also, I would be interested to see a comparison to the wasm component model as it also seems to want to do the same things docker contai

This page must be loading a webgl scene since it's making my poor mobile browser gradually unresponsive to my scrolling. Thankfully closed to page before it was to late.

This is pretty neet. Tried running it with ghostscript under Linux and it crashes pretty much after the first tetromino falls a square.

From my perspective rust is still getting a lot (most) of the attention while zig has a loyal but smaller following. Odin (one I love) has an even smaller following still. Personally, I don't really care about languages. I'll use

Linux actually has some commercial apps available. Though I'm not sure how they compare to their Mac and Windows versions. Yes some apps aren't available but that's true of Mac as well, though to a lesser extent.

You can use exportify to get playlists and likes off of there. After that maybe make a script to search for entries on whatever service you're using.

I agree with the parent about conciseness being a welcome feature in the character limit. However, I recognize many people don't like it and have observed people cheating it with chain replies. Making everyone sum up all of their thoug

Simplest solution is to not use computers anymore. Move to a cabin in the woods, away from civilization, and live off the fat of the land.

Yeah, to this day Ada, though a beautiful language, is a hard choice to make if you are concerned about certain targets. How would i get my program to compile to Android NDK? Even Swift has a better story with it's tooling. That's

Off the top of my head, the advantage in having bananas grown near you verses imported from Panama is that they are possibly fresher. This is assuming they can grow in your area and are in season of course. Produce is a special case in this

Yeah compile times were an issue back when i was trying Dioxus out too. Their `hot reload` was noticably not terribly hot for me. Stark contrast to what I'm used to in the node.js world.

It makes sense if you consider that it was created for making c libraries bindable to higher level languages. That's more a flaw in it's design rather than implementation. If they were to design such a system now I'd hope it

The GObject system for all it's faults serves a purpose. Similar to COM in Windows it allows mapping of higher level languages to libraries. Without it there wouldn't be all the bindings we have to Python, JavaScript, Vala and Rus

As someone who is fascinated with Smalltalk and to a lesser extent Lisp. I think the reason those didn't catch on more broadly is that they were too early and different. Smalltalk I believe was designed to run on computers that wouldn&

I'm specifically talking about developing gnome apps. The developer documentation for Gnome uses Gnome Builder which installs a flatpack based SDK for you by default. Flatpack, it seems, is the golden path to create Gnome apps.

Lately, I was thinking that flatpack wouldn't be needed as much for Gnome dev if the libraries were more stable.

Since this compiles to web assembly and is modular I wonder if this will use the wasm component model in the future. It would be interesting to be able to use pieces of this from other languages.

blitz is cool piece of tech but it seems that it needs dioxus framework to do any sort of interactivity which in turn needs to be written in rust. Which is a lot slower than writing a electron app.
