Everytime this is posted someone says it's a vaporware and/or a scam. I've never looked into it myself so i don't know.

As an American I would advise people to, when practical, boycott these companies, regardless of their country of origin, when they do things anti-consumer/anti-ownership. But more importantly we should demand our communities/gover

You now need to have an online account to setup and login on a Windows desktop. It's obvious what the trend is and it's not allowing consumers control over their stuff.

Long ago manjaro was my favorite distro because it had a lot of great defaults that are rare among distros. The thing I didn't like was always having to be on top of updates or the update system would break and fixing it was a process.

I want to be able rely an an arch distro enough to be my main but it just seems like it needs too much maintenance and I'm afraid of some parts of my system breaking in some updates. Meanwhile, on Ubuntu/Debian-based systems I can

WebGPU is a API that sits above Vulkan, DirectX and Metal. For CUDA, ROCm and oneAPI there is SYCL. But it's not used too much and it seems mostly just Intel is invested.

I vaguely remember a talk given by the creator of ELM called "The Economics of Programming Languages". It's actually really expensive to make a good programming language that's widely used. Forget about syntax or semant

Actually the auto generated bindings can be attributed to the gobject system. It's a very interesting system, similar DCOM in Windows. Too bad it's so poorly documented. It seems to me like advanced technology left over from a dea

Well I don't know what the market for these companies putting out RISC-V processors and SBCs are going for but I'm hoping they will take support at least as seriously as Raspberry Pi. Maybe none of them will but I'd hope that

Sorry, my comment was not about if RISC-V were in SBCs but about software and documentation support for SBCs outside of Raspberry Pi being very very poor. My hope is that the situation for RISC-V SBCs would be an improvement over ARM SBCs

I wonder if the future positioning for RISC-V will be better support from manufacturers of SBCs than their ARM counterparts. Right now they are barely useable outside of Raspberry Pi, which unfortunately has had supply issues. I know ARM ch

It sounds like this a geared towards games. However, I like the idea of exposing all of the ML features through Vulkan extensions rather than some proprietary API. Though I think exposing them through OpenCL extensions would work for me as

Makes sense that they should make their site's search engine not be so bad to where you have to use a external search engine to find things on it. It's weird that they are only now just thinking of this though.
