A tool is a tool. Our companies are shelling out millions of dollars to these companies. How many of us sometimes spend our days just hopping between the tools that are actually working at the moment?

I fully agree. All these blog posts are basically features they should be implementing. They advertise they are replacing software development, but then these tools require a massive amount of overhead akin to having to train new hires. B

> I feel like that's a rather niche situation you got there Every big company in the world uses a network proxy. LM Studio, as far as I can tell, cannot be configured to work behind such proxies.

This is exactly it. I already have broad access to Claude, Gemini, GitHub Copilot. I want to use open models on automated tasks that chew up tokens but where I don't necessarily need the best-in class models and UX. For Claude, I setti

Lol at that command. Why is this stuff so hard to run locally? I've spent a few days trying to figure it all out and haven't been able to. LM Studio doesn't work behind proxies. Ollama is confusing and doesn't seem to su

It's amazing how incompetent the U.S. has become. Sure, let's telegraph to the entire world that the U.S. is entirely incapable of sustaining warfare, all as part of a meaningless war.

I think that underestimates how little the Chinese care about what Americans are doing. They're moving so fast that watching what the U.S. is doing would slow them down.
