Free speech protects you from the state, not from private companies. You can declare yourself to be anything you'd like, but you may suffer the consequences.

Induction does not do the same thing, mine seems to (from what you can hear) use pwm with a period time of a few milliseconds and adjust duty cycle based on the heat setting

At least from my experience my induction stove does not seem to have this problem, which kinda makes sense if you think about it: It already has to switch on/off many times per second to induce current, so it can just skip some cycles.

VPNs don't usually consume any significant bandwidth overhead at all which makes me curious as to what service your employer is using?

Users not knowing what a url bar even is will be actively dangerous when they've somehow managed to land on a fishing site though. I don't think that can be engineered away in any reasonable way soon, so saying they shouldn't

Not when the need is to increase battery life (reduce cpu usage). Having a couple of youtube/reddit tabs open in the background can really impact battery life I've found.

We do have many regional tickets and only the most expensive ones (over 26yrs and not senoir) even cost 365€ per year. You also have to take cost of living / pay grade and quality of service into account.

This ticket (in Austria specifically) is not a response to covid-19, it has been in the works by our green party for many years now (2013 I think) and negotiations for the country-wide ticket have finally been concluded.

The original idea by our green party was a "1-2-3 Ticket" which means 365€ for one state, double for two states, and triple for all states (per year for all public transport). They just renamed the "3" ticket to climate

Since most public transport is pretty localized the difference should be negligible - you're rarely going to travel a significant distance in relation to the size of the country as that would be unfeasible for a daily commute. In pract

That's the best way to make people switch back to cars imho. Not only does constantly paying a fee increase friction significantly, the same is not the case if you were to use a car you only need to refill every other week or so. At th

Isn't that the wrong direction to think in? If one employee in a team of 10 gets promoted to be their leader (because the former one retired or got promoted themselves) then the other 9/10 don't get promoted. And those people
