Every argument against this hinges on a very odd idea that land is more important than individuals. Rural areas use more resources per capita, contribute less to our GDP, and are less educated than urban areas. Giving these areas a greater

I'm really glad quirky and specialized places like this exist, even though I would never spend $80 a year for one pencil a month.

Walking is good for overall health but it's also important to get your heart rate up. There was a post in here that crowdsourced resting heart rate and the people who elevated their heart for 45 minutes a week had a lowered resting hea

Spending money on transit is a much better way to alleviate road congestion than building more roads. If you drive, you should be in favor of transit spending.

I don't understand what you mean. Are you saying that Apple doesn't support their customers well because they don't spend time writing software for 10 year old hardware?

I don't think it's fair to expect Apple to support 32-bit processors anymore. OS X will run on Core2Duo, which is nearly 10 years old. My parents' iMac is a 2006 and runs El Cap.

Elevated anything kills the street experience for pedestrians, which is once of the central points of having urbanism in the first place. Urbanism isn't about getting to point A to point B as fast as possible, it's about a dense n

When is Google going to drop the dingy grey as a background color? It's so gross. Google had things figured out with its crisp white aesthetic. Superfluous cards and shadows (thanks Material Design) has borked design at Google.

Negative space is always useful. Simply spacing shit out to create low information density isn't the same thing. Adding a bunch of unnecessary dividers (cards and shadows) are definitely not the same thing as negative space. Negative
