+1 for NotePlan. I use it extensively every day for 2 years and I can't go back. I'm just frustrated to lack advanced features or simple tables available on notions. However, as it's markdown based, it's kind of logicall

I love these kinds of projects. I hope you'll have the time you need and enough attention/traction to make it work. I'm not sure it's possible, but it could be great to make this a team project officially supported by Dj

I'm wondering how long Putin will keep the population obedient enough, by rising threats. At some point, when the people see they're losing everything, fear of jail is not enough to keep them quiet.

I think one of the main reason SPAs are overused is because it's hard in 2022 for your users to wait after clicking on a link. Users are now used to instantaneous, especially since they all have a smartphone with apps on it. We, as web

This project is very clever, because as a Django developer, when I tried to use. FastAPI, I didn't get the faith to learn another ORM. I've been using django ninja for months and I can say that it's a very good replacement to

This is useful. As tailwind team is very active, I won't be surprised if they decide to embed an official tool like this one.

I just found out this package and absolutely love the idea of "sanitizing" the queries. However I'm just wondering: if I'm a solo dev and I already monitor all my endpoints using Django Debug toolbar, how is it still use

Exactly. I end up to get use to this fuzzy text, but the first time was like "Ughhh this is ugly".

Another major issue not mentioned with non-retina displays is that you have to chose between a decent on-screen text size and pixel scaling. For example, I use a a 4K 27" LG monitor. If I use native 4K resolution, the text is way too s

Great! I'd like to do the same but not sure of using NFC tags rather than printing and sticking QR Code stickers directly to the back of the card? Please help me compare both approaches. For now, I'm thinking of: Pro's of QR

For me, the BaaS philosophy is to simplify development by using an "all-batteries-included" platform. I know some people use Supabase just for the free postgres or other things, but I don't like to use multiple providers for

That's a very strong advice to remove irrelevant guilt. Many people bind success with money. That's just one thing you can benefit.

That's a relevant advice IMO. However, as a tech guy trying to build stuff too, I need continuous motivation for this. I need to stay in a "flow" state. And a good fuel to this is to learn new cool things during the journey.

You can not say you get feature parity just after plugging an ORM to express. Of course if you're building a todolist, I understand the point, but as soon as you have more need, the journey of searching for packages, comparing them, te

I don't know Phoenix enough to make a fair comparison, but I'd say it have major features Django doesn't have (like LiveView), but the opposite is probably true. But as soon as you go to the JS world, you won't find any

While it sounds neat in its area, it seems to be the same philosophy than nest js: an opinionated way to gather a set of trendy tools (React, GraphQL, Prisma, Jest, WebPack, Babel, etc.) and enforce conventions around them. To me, it remain

As you said, you define your creativity by your code itself. I think some programmers (at least me) want a wider freedom, for example about features, or process, or devops stuff, etc etc. I think the more you're in a big structure wit
