We tried to use Client Certs at LogNormal for API calls, but the problem is that if you enable Client Certs on an HTTP server, all requests will be asked for a cert, which, on a browser, pops up a scary "Select certificate" messag

I suppose he could have tried remounting the device read-only, and then using dd to directly update the inode table to change ownership, but, if he was already root, he could have just chown'ed it again.

Many years ago I ran into a similar problem. A technician came in to the office to replace my hard disk with a larger one, and instead of copying my old data to the new one, he started copying the new disk to the old one, resulting in &#x2

How do you handle the case where the load generator runs out of resources (ie, file handlers, tcp sockets, network interface throughput, etc.) before it is able to generate sufficient load to test the server?

Back in 2001, the ayttm project supported free, secure instant messaging by using gpg to encrypt all messages and by allowing you to split a conversation across multiple networks (Yahoo, MSN, AOL, XMPP).
