Huh, maybe this is why big-G hasn't been too concerned about the rise of ChatGPT. As long as they have Chrome, they still have direct access to a huge portion of web users - even if said users have shifted from using their search engi

I find the opposite. Ruby has a longer list of String, Array and Hash methods/functions and they're also more useable. Another issue I had was that Python's test frameworks like PyTest were just so weak compared to the likes

Having only a basic knowledge of how GPT works under the hood - is it not computationally expensive to prepend these instructions to every single prompt given? I mean, is there a way to build the model with these instructions already "

When I was a student I worked for a company who made injection moulded HDPE parts for fishing boat gear. After a few years on the market, the company noticed identical products coming out from China, the only difference being that the part

What's also hilarious is his reaction to some creepy looking computer generated art/animation which for some reason they chose to make look like it had a disability. “I am utterly disgusted,” he says. If you really want to make cr

Oh nice, I did most of this in school, and during my non-CS engineering degree. Thanks for sharing! Always wanted to dip my toes into ML, but I've never been convinced of it's usefulness to the average solo developer, in terms of

Not really a problem I've come across but I'd say if you're passing 100 arguments to your initialize method, you probably need to refactor somewhere? Personally, I like seeing the instance variables I have rather than having

He states it took 1000 attempts with two steps in the process requiring a "stroke of luck". This doesn't sound like it's going to be easy to replicate or verify.

So it took them 1000 times to get a good result from this experiment over 19 years, and two steps in the process require a stroke of luck? That doesn't inspire confidence.
